Although, we live in a world where internet dominates our lifestyle but that does not mean that television has lost its importance. There are millions of people around the world that still believe that TV is the main source of entertainment for them and they usually enjoy and watch all their favorite movies and program on television. This is exactly why TV channels are more interested in attracting more people by presenting better shows that can provide them better revenues. In the last few years, many new channels and companies have come up with their own version of reality shows and now HGTV has decided to bring up their favorite show HGTV Design Star 2012.
HGTV Design Star returns with host David Bromstad and celebrity judges eyeing the network’s next star. David Bromstad won the debut season of the series and this is the second year where he is going to be the host for this program. This will be the seventh season for Design Star and HGTV believes that for the last six years they have been receiving better response from the viewers in North America which is why they are trying to bring back the show on popular demand.
HGTV believes that this year the competition will be tougher than ever before because the channel likes to raise the bar to make the show more exciting. There will be 12 competitors in the show and each will come from different state in North America. Each competitor will have to showcase their creative skills and talent and will also have to showcase star quality on camera to ensure that they do not get eliminated on the show. Along with David Bromstad, the show will have Genevieve Gorder and Vern Yip who are HGTV designers. They will be accompanied by special guests like Kris Jenner, Daisy Fuentes, Marg Helgenberger and Mark Steines. HGTV hosts Sabrina Soto, Anthony Carrino, John Colaneri and Meg Caswell will also come on the show.
